    Karma Dzong - Lineage

    VCTR chuba
Vidyadhara, the Ven. Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche
gave extensive formal teachings and manifested spontaneous enlightened actions, in everyday situations, in order to connect his many students to wakefulness.  His formal teachings and practice instructions followed the three yana approach of the Kagyu and Nyingma lineages of Tibetan Buddhism.
Some ideas for group programs and retreats, following this tradition, are outlined on the 'Practice and Study' page.
Those gatherings would include morning and evening chants and shrine room protocols that reflect the Vajradhatu tradition established during Rinpoche's time.

His Holiness, Karmapa Urgyen Trinley Dorje
is the lineage holder of the Karma Kagyu. A genuine spiritual connection to HH Karmapa can inspire our practice and provide strength for the continuation of the Kagyu lineage.  In particular, his teachings on the important Kagyu lineage text, "Jewel Ornament of Liberation" by Gampopa, provide a fresh perspective on this key dharma text.

He was one of the closest students of the 16th Gyalwang Karmapa, and in turn became the main teacher of the current Gyalwang Karmapa, Orgyen Trinley Dorje. Situ Rinpoche oversees a vast network of Karma Kagyu monasteries, retreat centers, and Dharma centers worldwide, and has made great contributions toward training the next generation of Buddhist masters. He is also a scholar, poet, calligrapher, artist and author.
